This position requires being able to work remotely as well as travel throughout the State of Michigan and occasionally outside of Michigan.
This person will serve as an auditor for Credit Unions, working under the supervision of an in-charge on weekly agreed-upon procedures, opinion audits or other projects.
As different client audits are done weekly, the candidate must be able to work in constantly changing environments.
Accuracy and attention to detail is extremely important.
Duties to include the following:
Travel throughout Michigan (approximately 20-40% overnight travel Monday through Thursday).
When not on site at the client, work is done remotely; Performance of loan reviews; Performance of cash counts; Application and knowledge of NCUA and State of Michigan regulations; Application of Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS); Completion of audits/loan reviews within firm timing guidelines; Writing reports with professionalism utilizing Microsoft Word and Excel; Answering client inquiries in a timely, effective and efficient manner; General office work
Qualifications:
Organized and detail oriented.
Proficiency with 10-key, Word and Excel.
Proactive in prepping work and completing tasks.
Auditing background a plus but not required.
Candidates must possess excellent (business) writing skills, analytical and reasoning abilities.
Accounting degree required.
