Clair Shores Law Firm has an IMMEDIATE position for a Legal Assistant/Paralegal.
Plaintiff personal injury law firm (1st and 3rd party auto negligence and premises liability) looking for a qualified Litigation Assistant.
Primary duties will concentrate in working with all aspects of discovery.
Candidate must be highly organized, self-motivated, reliable and dedicated and possess litigation experience and understanding of Michigan No-Fault Law and Probate.
Ability to work with and maintain highly confidential information.
Must have strong computer skills, Outlook, MS Word, scanning, and excellent typing with special attention to grammar and accuracy.
Prior legal experience with a law firm specializing in no-fault/auto negligence litigation is preferred, with understanding of the general rules of PIP cases and other basics.
ONLY APPLICANTS WITH A MINIUMUM OF 2 YEARS' PRIOR LAW FIRM EXPERIENCE WILL BE CONSIDERED.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
